Working Equitation is a discipline of training that uses training of the horse and rider to benefit and improve their ability to work – navigating obstacles that resemble those that may be found when working cattle or in the field. \nThis clinic is an introduction to the sport of Working Equitation. It includes application of dressage fundamentals to different obstacles\, navigation between them and the basics of how to negotiate each obstacle for different levels of rider/horse teams. \nIf you want to ride a test\, we can also schedule a time to practice your USAWE test! Her studies included a minor in education and psychology and studies at The Ohio State University in equine endocrinology. Since graduating in 1994\, Amie has owned and operated Selah Farms and worked as an independent contractor/trainer for many Olympic team members as well as US Team coaches\, been a farm manager and assistant trainer for large breeding facilities in Ohio\, Wisconsin and Florida and competed in dressage as well as eventing. Amie embraced the opportunity to ride with 3 time European Working Equitation Champion Joao Lynce in 2011 and spent 6 months immersed in training and living in Portugal.
